Bamber Bridge supporter Toney Donnelly is aiming to clock up over 270 miles of road races in aid of Once Upon A Smile, a north west based charity which provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families.

Not content with just completing one marathon, Toney’s aiming to complete four marathons, including the world famous London Marathon on 23 April, and three ultra marathons, including the gruelling 62 mile Race To The Stones.

So far during 2017 he has already completed.

• The Hunter 10K (Preston)
• Wigan Half Marathon
• Manchester Marathon

Over the rest of the year he will compete in:

• 15th April - Liverpool to Manchester Ultra Marathon (50 miles)
• 23rd April - London Marathon
• 13th May - Born Survivor (Military obstacle course)
• 21st May - Windermere Marathon
• 28th May - Liverpool Rock and Roll Marathon
• 15th July – Race to the Stones Ultra Marathon (62 miles)
• 7th October – Towers Ultra Marathon (37 miles)
• 5th November – Keswick 10 Mile
