Victory at the Flamingo Land Stadium takes Brig's unbeaten run to 8 games!

Brig ran out 4-2 winners on Saturday, taking their unbeaten run to 8 in all competitions.

Jamie Milligan fielded five changes to the team which drew midweek against Radcliffe, including debuts for new keeper Mateusz Hewelt and midfielder Havey Gregson who signed on Friday on a one month loan from neighbours AFC Fylde.

Brig opened their account on 15 mins when Rob Apter slid home a cross following a beautiful build up from the front four.

The second goal followed just over 15 mins later, when on 36 minutes a long throw in to the box fell for Isaac Sinclair who showed great composure and curled the ball in to the bottom left corner.

The final minutes of the half descended into quite a scrappy affair, with both sides mis-placing passes.

The home side assured they would go in at half-time in the ascendancy, with a goal just before the break. The ball appeared to have gone out for a Brig goal kick, but the appeals were not given and the ball slid in to the centre, allowing Lewis Turner to shoot, the ball taking a deflection and looping over a helpless Hewelt in the Brig goal.

Half time: Scarborough 1 - 2 Bamber Bridge

Brig restored their two goal lead on 68 minutes. A poor kick from the Scarborough keeper was collected by Rob Apter who went on a beautiful mazy run and then connected with Isaac Sinclair who crossed to Ewan Bange to who headed home Brig's third and his eighth goal in as many games.

Eight minutes later, Brig ensured the game was out of the home side's reach after Rob Apter bagged his second goal of the game. After another superb run, he fired the ball in to the top left corner to take the score to 1-4.

The second half ended as the first, with the home side getting a consolation on 90 minutes. Nathan Cartman hitting a volley from the area past Hewelt in the Brig goal.

Final score Scarborough 2 - 4 Bamber Bridge and a superb away win for Milligan's men.

Bamber Bridge: Hewelt, Thomson, Higham, Spooner (C), Gourley, Gregson, Apter (2), Boyle, Bange (1), Yeates, Sinclair (1).
